Lower Portion

Full of ups and downs, Giant stretches 1500 meters from the summit of Mt. Madarao all the way down to the central resort area restaurant, Heidi. The lower part of the course, which can be accessed by Quad Lift 2, is perfect for intermediate skiers given its slope and compacted-snow lane. This course also operates at night! Finally, Terrain Park is also accessible from this slope.。
Middle Portion

The middle portion of Giant can be accessed via the Super Quad Lift. Out of all the slopes in Madarao Kogen, this area is the most abundant in naturally formed bumps, so it is very popular among advanced skiers and mogul-lovers alike. This slope also receives a good amount of powder after snowfalls, making it a popular slope among powder-lovers as well.
Upper Portion

The upper portion of Giant can be reached either by taking Lift 3A, or by taking Lift 13 to the top of the Crystal course and coming in by way of the Expert course.
The upper part of Giant reaches 31° at its steepest point, and looking out from the top you will be able to see a large snow mound formed off to the left from the intense turns of skiers and snowboarders.
Another selling point of this slope is the beautiful view— it overlooks all of Madarao Kogen, making it a favorite to many.
Just off to the right of Giant is the Champion course, where skiers can enjoy a steep, irregularly surfaced slope. After a good snowfall and given the right conditions, skiers can find themselves up to their wastes in fresh powder. If skied together with either World Cup Mogul or AIR WAVE, skiers can enjoy up to a kilometer of powder snow, making this combination a highly popular long powder-course.
