Located at the base of Mt. Madarao, Madarao Kogen Hotel offers a cool respite in summer, and in winter becomes a ski resort area boasting the finest powder snow. Due to its location, surrounded by the mountains of Madarao, Kurohime, Togakushi, Iizuna and Myoko at heights of 1,000 to 2,000 meters, and situated to the south of Lakes Nojiri and Nozomi, the area witnesses consistent falls of light, powder snow.
